Questions & Answers
What services do you offer?
Danmars is a Gaborone-based Construction & Engineering firm providing structural engineering solutions and building/civil construction services, supported by project management and related professional services.
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
We’re based in Gaborone, Botswana, and typically serve clients across Greater Gaborone and surrounding areas. For projects outside Gaborone, we assess feasibility based on scope, programme, and logistics.
What types of projects do you handle?
We mainly deliver small to medium-scale projects, including residential builds, commercial/industrial works, and structural engineering assignments. We can also support specific scopes within larger projects.
Do you take on projects as a main contractor or subcontractor?
Both. We can act as the main contractor (end-to-end delivery) or as a specialist subcontractor for structural, construction, or scoped works—depending on what the client needs.
What services can you provide under one roof?
Depending on project needs, we can support:
Structural engineering design and advice
Building construction and civil works
Project management and site supervision
Quantity surveying (measurement, BOQs, valuations)
Landscaping and irrigation engineering (where applicable)
Can Danmars help with tendering and procurement requirements?
Yes. We support tender-ready documentation and can provide standard procurement requirements such as company profile, project experience lists, HSE/QA statements, programme outlines, and method statements aligned to the scope.
How do you price projects?
Pricing depends on scope, design complexity, site conditions, material specifications, and programme timelines. We typically quote based on drawings/specs (or a site assessment if drawings aren’t available).
Do you offer site visits and estimates?
Yes. For accurate costing, we may do a site inspection and/or request drawings, dimensions, and specification details before issuing a formal quotation.
What information do you need to prepare a quote?
Any of the following helps (the more, the better):
Architectural/structural drawings (if available)
Scope description and finish schedule
Site location and access details
Target timeline and any constraints
Budget range (optional, but helpful)
What is your typical project timeline?
Timelines vary by scope and approvals. After receiving sufficient project information, we provide an indicative programme and then confirm timelines once procurement and mobilisation are agreed.
